The opening quest route
| Stage | Objective to follow | Detailed guide |
|---|---|---|
| Leo’s opening tutorial | Take the Wooden Lute, make a catch and return to Leo. | Beginner guide |
| Selling and upgrading | Follow the shop objective, read Julian’s quote and equip the requested upgrade. | Chimes and selling |
| The Next Step | Speak to Halden, interact with five Weathered Statues and return for the Ocarina. | Ocarina guide |
This route comes from launch reporting. Keep the current quest text open when following it; it takes priority if an update changes the steps.
When an objective seems stuck
Separate the action from the hand-in. A catch can succeed while an NPC still needs a conversation. Buying an instrument can succeed while the requested item is not equipped. A statue can be visible while its interaction has not counted.
- Read the exact active objective and check any progress counter.
- Verify the required item is present and equipped if requested.
- Close the bag and return to the named NPC or interaction.
- If the wording differs, record the quest title and the step that failed before asking the community.

Use later milestones without guessing the route
We have not verified full steps for Mantle of the Songkeeper or The Magus’ Requiem. We therefore list their named milestones without inventing NPCs, reward totals or mandatory quest order.

Frequently asked questions
Are badges the same as quests?
No. Some badges record catches, collection counts, equipment or songs. A badge is useful evidence of a milestone but is not a complete quest log.
Should I sell catches before checking the quest?
Check the current objective first. This guide does not assume that selling an item needed by a task can be undone.
